It’s never too early to start showing that competitive spirit. One Penn State commit is already prepared to prove he has exactly what it takes to help lead the Nittany Lions to wins over division rival Ohio State.

Last week, the official Twitter account of Ohio State’s football programs shared an image of Chase Young and Nick Bosa chasing down Oregon State quarterback Conor Blount in the 2018 season opener, along with the caption, “You’re the quarterback. What’s your next move?”

Seeing the post on his timeline, Penn State commit and 4-star pro-style quarterback Christain Veilleux offered his own suggestion. “Throw a touchdown,” the former Nittany Lion responded.

That response obviously received plenty of praise from the Penn State faithful.

Penn State is the last team to win the B1G not named Ohio State. In 2016, the Nittany Lions pulled off a stunning upset over the Buckeyes and ended the season at the top of the B1G East standings and went on to defeat Wisconsin to claim a conference title.

While Penn State has been a top contender to the Buckeyes regularly, the Lions still haven’t topped OSU since that 2016 meeting in Happy Valley. But many think the James Franklin’s bunch has a chance to end that losing streak in 2020.

Veilleux is a member of Penn State’s 2021 recruiting class. The pro-style passer is listed as the No. 16 pro-style quarterback in the class and the No. 302 overall player, regardless of position.
