Penn State lost a massive game at Ohio State last week. Quarterback Sean Clifford started the game and has been the starter for the Nittany Lions this entire season, but was knocked out of the game against the Buckeyes with an undisclosed injury.

Backup Will Levis came in and performed admirably, but again, the Nittany Lions fell short against the Buckeyes.

What’s ahead for Penn State is the 2019 regular season finale against Rutgers. With the Scarlet Knights looming, the Nittany Lions will be without Clifford:

As long as Clifford doesn’t play — and that appears to be the case — it should be Levis’ job to take. Levis, a freshman, hasn’t started a game in his collegiate career.

That appears to be changing this afternoon.

Penn State-Rutgers is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET at Beaver Stadium on BTN.
