Penn State absolutely crushed Maryland Friday night. The final score?
59-0.
It was that bad.

The Nittany Lions led 38-0 at halftime and outgained the Terrapins in terms of total yardage 619-128. Again, it was that bad.
With that beat-down taking place, Penn State accomplished a school record once the final whistle blew:
#PennState records its largest shutout ever in a #BigTen game. They have outscored Maryland 163-6 in the last 3 meetings (since 2017). #WeAre #PSUnrivaled #PSUvsMD

Penn State recorded its largest shutout ever in a Big Ten game. That’s pretty hard to believe. Sure, 59-0 is an insane score for a B1G game, but, the Nittany Lions have a long, heralded history in the conference.
Also, in the last three meetings between the two teams, Penn State has outscored Maryland 163-6. Ouch.
The two will meet again next season on Nov. 21 at Beaver Stadium. Maybe the Terps can make it more of a competitive game then.
