Penn State reveals special end zone design for Saturday's matchup vs. Illinois
Penn State will be changing up its end zone design for Saturday’s Homecoming contest against Illinois. The school revealed the new look on Friday evening.
The Nittany Lions will have diamonds lining the end zone with “PSU” inside a white football for Saturday’s game. It’s part of Penn State’s “throwback” game against Illinois this weekend.
Penn State is coming off a bye week and sits at 5-1 on the season. Illinois was also idle last week and heads into State College at 2-5.

It’s not often that Penn State makes changes to its field or uniforms. The program tends to have a traditional approach on Saturday afternoons.
Kickoff between Penn State and Illinois is set for 12 p.m. ET. The game will air on ABC.
