Penn State running back announces entry into transfer portal

Penn State running back Devyn Ford entered the NCAA Transfer Portal Monday after 4 seasons in Happy Valley. he will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.
Ford left the Nittany Lions program 4 games into the season in 2022 wanting to focus on academics. The 2020 and 2021 All-B1G academic honors recipient made 6 starts across his 4 years at Penn State, with 5 of them coming in 2020.
Ford totaled 133 rushes for 629 yards and 6 touchdowns as a running back for Penn State. He also contributed heavily on special teams, returning 17 kicks for 351 yards from 2020-2021.
Former Penn State RB Devyn Ford has entered the transfer portal, per @247Sports sources. Stepped aside from Lions after four games last fall, continued academic courses at PSU.
The former Top247 prospect moves forward with two remaining seasons of college eligibility available.

With Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton set to return next season, it was unlikely that Pen State will see any hiccups at running back soon.
