Penn State is winding down spring practices and will hit the field Saturday for the Blue-White Spring Game.

On Wednesday, star safety Ji’Ayir Brown met with the media after practice to share his thoughts on a number of things. Among his comments, Brown shared his insight on some key newcomers to Penn State.

The first player Brown discussed was wide receiver, Mitchell Tinsley. Tinsley joined Penn State via transfer after a 1,400-yard, 14-touchdown season at Western Kentucky.

Tinsley has impressed Brown early on:

The other players Brown discussed were a pair of freshmen in 5-star QB Drew Allar and 5-star RB Nick Singleton. According to Brown, Allar’s arm strength has been off the charts while Singleton came in ready to go as a freshman and has squatted 500 pounds in the weight room.

It will be interesting to see how this trio fits into the makeup of the team for 2022. So far, it sounds like the Nittany Lions have the makings of some key pieces.
