The young linebacker for Penn State had a remarkable season. As a sophomore, Parsons recorded 95 total tackles, 11 for loss, three sacks, and added a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles. When the AP All-American lists were announced on Monday, Parsons landed as a first-team selection.

Head coach James Franklin also had the opportunity to reveal the selection to Parsons. On a video call, Franklin showed Parsons Penn State’s All-American Wall with a simple message:
“You made first-team All-American, so you’re going on the wall,” said Franklin.
It really is an awesome moment:

Through two seasons, Parsons has 177 total tackles, 15 for loss, and 3.5 sacks. Hopefully, he can help lead the Nittany Lions to one more win on the year.
