Penn State star DB Ji'Ayir Brown makes decision on 2022 season
Penn State just got some big news about one if its playmakers on the defensive side of the ball.
Ji’Ayir Brown announced that he’ll be staying with Nittany Lions for another year on his Twitter account. He had 56 solo tackles, 1 forced fumble, 4 interceptions, and 5 pass deflections in 2021.
Here’s what he had to say about his choice to stay in Happy Valley:
“After sitting down and exploring all my options about my future with my family, I am confident with my decision to remain at Penn State alongside my brothers for another year,” said Brown. “I look forward to learning, growing, and developing more as a player, a student, and a man. I’m grateful for my coaches, teammates, the support staff and everyone who makes up Penn State Athletics.
“I look forward to another year with you all. I would also like to wholeheartedly acknowledge and thank my mom, brother and sisters for all of their sacrifices, as well as their unwavering support. I do this for us. I love you. Also, my extended village… the city of Trenton. Stand up. We have work to do. Let’s get to it. We are!”

He originally transferred to Penn State from Lackawanna Community College in 2020, and has made an impact ever since. It looks like the Nittany Lions will be keeping one of their leaders on defense for another year.
