Penn State’s big June on the recruiting trail continued Wednesday with another commitment.

Jayden Woods is the latest player to pledge to the Nittany Lions. The blue-chip edge shared the big news on social media Wednesday.

“COMMITTED!!” Woods wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “Thank you God, family, coaches, and teammates for getting me to this point. So excited for this next chapter and the many blessings and lessons God has in store. #Weare”

The newest PSU pledge heads to Happy Valley via Kansas. Out of Mill Valley, Woods is listed as measuring 6-3, 240 pounds. Woods is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 player in the state of Kansas, No. 18 edge defender and No. 215 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite.

Woods is a highly sought-after prospect. He has picked up scholarship offers from 33 programs, including Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M, USC and Washington.

In April, Woods narrowed it down to five schools: Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Florida and Tennessee. He took official visits to all five finalists except Florida over the past four weekends.

The trip to State College and visit with James Franklin’s staff appeared to seal the deal for Woods. He shared photos of the campus visit on social media.
