Penn State to be without multiple key players vs. Minnesota
Penn State will be missing multiple key pieces when it takes on Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions released their updated availability report for this matchup against the Golden Gophers, and it includes a few notable players: wide receiver Julian Fleming, wide receiver Kaden Saunders and cornerback Elliot Washington II.
Fleming remains questionable for this game against Minnesota while Saunders and Washington have already been ruled out.

Fleming has been a big part of Penn State’s offense this season. He’s second on the team amongst receivers in total snaps, per Pro Football Focus. He’s also caught 13 passes for 171 yards and 1 touchdown so far this season. He has not recorded a reception, however, since Nov. 9 against Washington.
Saunders is a reserve receiver who has 4 catches for 25 yards on the season.
Washington is a significant part of Penn State’s secondary. He’s third amongst Penn State cornerbacks in total snaps and has only allowed 12 receptions (on 26 targets) so far in 2024, per PFF.
Penn State is looking to move to 10-1 with a win on Saturday against Minnesota. The Nittany Lions are 10-6 all-time in this series.
