Penn State is the No. 3-ranked team by the Associated Press Top 25 and leads the Big Ten East with a 6-0 record this season.
While all the talk has been about Penn State’s offense, specifically running back Saquon Barkley, its defense has also played a major role in the team’s success this season.
The Nittany Lions are allowing just 9.0 points per game to opposing teams, which is the best in college football. Creating turnovers has been a reason for their dominance defensively this season.

Penn State is on a bye week, but once they return to action, they will be challenged right away. The Nittany Lions host No. 17 Michigan on Oct. 21, before hitting the road for an afternoon game against No. 9 Ohio State, which could decide the Big Ten East.
