Penn State linebacker Jason Cabinda has earned another award following his outstanding performance in Week 8.

Monday night, it was announced that Cabinda was named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week after recording 13 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble against Michigan in Penn State’s 42-13 win. It’s the second time this season he’s earned this award.

Penn State earned $1,000 towards its general scholarship fund with Cabinda’s honor.

Cabinda was named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week earlier this month after Penn State’s 45-14 win over Indiana. He recorded 14 stops and 1.5 tackles for loss in that victory.

After seven games, Cabinda leads the Nittany Lions in tackles with 53 and has also recorded four tackles for loss and two sacks. Penn State sits at 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in B1G play after beating Michigan.
