While NFL-caliber players like wide receiver Jahan Dotson skipped the Outback Bowl matchup versus No. 21 Arkansas to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft process, other players like linebacker Jesse Luketa decided to play one more time.

It didn’t take long for Luketa to make his decision on his football future as he announced on his Twitter on Saturday that he will declare for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Luketa finishes his career at Penn State accounting for 142 total tackles, 81 solo tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, one interception for a touchdown, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.

This season, Luketa accounted for 52 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and the interception returned for a touchdown.

According to WalterFootball.com, Luketa is rated as the 13th best inside linebacker. He was also named to the 2021 third-team All-B1G team by the media as an edge rusher. He has been projected as a fourth-to-sixth rounder by WalterFootball, but his versatility as an all-around defender could boost his Draft stock.
