Penn State has a dubious honor this season, they are the first team to have lost 9 games in a row to AP Top 10 teams. Saturday marked their 9th loss as they went down to the 6th ranked Michigan Wolverines, 21-17.

Until now, the Nittany Lions had only lost 3 in a row to AP Top 10 teams. This season has been a roller coaster for this team.

Just a few short weeks ago, they were in contention for the Big Team Championship Game and a spot in the College Football Playoff. But losses in 3 of their last 4 games ended that dream and their dream of making it to a New Year’s Day Six bowl as well.

This team may also have been distracted by the rumors of head coach James Franklin leaving for another coaching position in the future.

One thing is for certain, Nittany Lions are not happy with the way this season has turned out.
