Penn State safety Marcus Allen has been honored after an impressive outing in Saturday’s matchup against Pitt.
Allen was named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week after racking up 12 tackles, a tackle for loss and a defended pass in the Nittany Lions’ 33-14 win over the Panthers.

Penn State earned $1,000 towards its general scholarship fund for the recognition.
Iowa’s Josey Jewell was the winner of the award in Week 1.
The Nittany Lions are currently ranked No. 5 in the nation and are set to host Georgia State on Saturday. Allen has 14 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in the first two games of the season.
