Penn State’s Rasheed Walker will be heading to the 2022 NFL Draft. Walker could have returned for the 2022 season since he is a redshirt junior, but instead decided to go to the NFL.

The Nittany Lions’ O-lineman has been with the team since 2018. Walker appeared in 26 career games for the Nittany Lions as well, starting in 22 of those games. He announced the news from his Twitter account on Monday.

Here’s what Walker had to say about his decision to move on:

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God because without him, I would have never made it this far,” said Walker. “I would like to thank my family for always supporting me and pushing me to be the best version of me in all aspects of life. I would also like to thank Coach Franklin and Coach Trautwein for believing in me and giving me this tremendous opportunity to play football at the highest collegiate level possible. I will forever be grateful for the memories I have shared with you all in Happy Valley and will always bleed Blue & White. With all that being said, I will be declaring the for the 2022 NFL Draft!”

It looks like the next step for Walker in his career will be at the professional level on Sundays.
