There’s good news on the recruiting trail for Penn State fans.

PSU’s top-ranked recruiting in the 2021 class, offensive tackle Landon Tengwall, will graduate high school this fall and enroll at State College in the spring.

He announced that decision on Twitter Thursday afternoon:

Tengwall is the No. 7 offensive tackle and the No. 50 overall player in the class of 2021, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s one of five 4-star commitments currently in Penn State’s recruiting class.

The Nittany Lions’ 2021 class is ranked No. 22 nationally and No. 6 in the Big Ten, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Getting a player of Tengwall’s caliber on campus as quickly as possible is crucial for Penn State. The Nittany Lions will be looking to rebound in a big way in 2021.

Tengwell is listed at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds and hails from Olney, Maryland. He’s been committed to Penn State since March 26, 2020.

Penn State faces Rutgers this weekend.
