In a wild conclusion to the regular season in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers now have a shot at advancing to the playoffs.

The big win for the Steelers came on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore was able to tie the game up late but neither team was able to get in range for a game-winning field goal in regulation.

To start the overtime period, Pittsburgh’s defense held strong and forced a punt by the Ravens. After that, it looked like Pittsburgh’s offense would stall out quickly.

Fortunately, a key connection from Ben Roethlisberger to TE Pat Freiermuth converted an early 3rd down in the drive. Roethlisberger fit a nice throw through a tight window while Freiermuth displayed his hands and concentration on the play.

Pittsburgh would convert on a couple of 3rd down plays – and one 4th down – before kicking a game-winning field goal. Now, the Steelers will wait to find out their fate for the playoffs.
