Planning ahead: Penn State earns pledge from Virginia OL in 2023 class
Penn State had a lot of success during the 2022 recruiting cycle and now it’s starting to look ahead to the future.
On Monday morning, the Nittany Lions received a verbal commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Joshua Miller. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound interior lineman made his announcement with a post on Twitter just before the holiday.
“I would like to give a huge thanks to all my teammates and coaches, past and present, for making me a better person, on and off the field, and molding me into the player I am today,” Miller wrote on Twitter. “With that being said for the next 4-5 years I’ll be furthering my academic and football career at The Penn State University.”
Miller ranks as the No. 412 prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He picked Penn State over several other Power 5 programs, including Clemson, Florida State, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M and others.
Per 247Sports, Miller is listed as the No. 28 interior offensive lineman. The Virginia native is also ranked as one of the Top 10 prospects out of his home state.
With Miller’s commitment, Penn State is now up to 5 verbal pledges in the 2023 class. The Nittany Lions currently sit at No. 3 in the national rankings for the cycle and No. 1 in the B1G.
