The demeaning letter from a Penn State alum to Penn State player Jonathan Sutherland has gained plenty of attention this week. So much, in fact, that it was a topic of conversation during College GameDay on Saturday morning.

A Penn State alum penned a letter to Sutherland, criticizing his long hair and appearance. While the writer of the letter claimed there was nothing racially motivated behind the note, many felt it was a derogatory note.

Sutherland’s teammates and head coach James Franklin defended him following the note. And now, College GameDay host Rece Davis is standing up for the Penn State star.

Davis had a short message for the writer of the letter on College GameDay, urging him to write two more letters: one apology to Penn State fans and another apology to Sutherland.
