A former Penn State and UMass tight end is taking on a coaching role on Herm Edwards’ staff at Arizona State, according to a report.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, as well as 247Sports, reported that Adam Breneman will be heading to Arizona State as a graduate assistant. According to Feldman, he’ll be helping out the offensive staff.

Breneman played at Penn State from 2013-15 before finishing his college career at UMass in 2016-17.

While at Penn State, Breneman appeared in eight games, catching 15 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns. All of those numbers came in 2013, his first year with the program. In two years at UMass, Breneman totaled 134 receptions for 1,572 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Breneman was a Mackey Award semifinalist in his two seasons with the Minutemen.

This will be the fist coaching opportunity for Breneman.
