In case you’ve been hibernating over the past four months, Penn State had one heck of a season in 2016.

The Nittany Lions not only won the Big Ten East division, but defeated Wisconsin in the B1G title game as well, earning a bid to the Rose Bowl to face USC. Over the course of the season, the Nittany Lions’ offense turned into a well-oiled machine.

Since defeating Ohio State, 24-21, Penn State scored at least 38 points in each of its next six games, including its win over the Badgers. With the offense’s success came rumors regarding first-year offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead.

Yahoo Sports’ national college columnist Pat Forde squashed any rumors this afternoon:

With Moorhead seemingly staying put along with a bunch of players returning for Penn State in 2017 (including quarterback Trace McSorley), the Nittany Lions will likely be ranked highly in next year’s pre-season poll.
