Saquon Barkley addresses future in New York after Giants' playoff loss to Eagles
Saquon Barkley has completed the last night of his rookie contract with the New York Giants. The Penn State great hopes to continue his career in the Big Apple.
Barkley was asked about his future with the Giants after the team’s season came to a close with a 38-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Saturday’s NFC Divisional Playoff game.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Barkley said he couldn’t see that being his last game with the Giants. He would like to remain with the team for the entirety of his professional career.

After missing most of 2020 due to injury and only rushing for 593 yards in 2021, the 2022 season was a bounce-back year for Barkley. In 16 games, he rushed 295 times for a career-high 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns, adding 57 catches for 338 yards. The 2022 Pro Bowl is Barkley’s first selection since his 2018 debut season when he was recognized with Rookie of the Year honors.
