Saquon Barkley will miss multiple weeks with a sprained ankle, according to a report.
Barkley was forced to leave the game late in the Giants’ win over Arizona on Sunday. He had to be helped off the field, but has avoided a serious, longterm injury according to Adam Schefter.
Schefter reports that Barkley suffered an “ordinary” ankle sprain and is expected to miss New York’s next 3 games.

Although it could have been worse, it’s still a big blow for Barkley and the Giants. Barkley has proven himself as one of the NFL’s top running backs when healthy.
Through 2 games so far this season, Barkley has accounted for 114 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. He’s also caught 9 passes for 41 yards and another score through the air.
The former Penn State star is in his 6th NFL season, all with the Giants. Although he has battled injury issues at other points in his career, Barkley did play in 16 games for the Giants last season.
If Barkley does miss New York’s next 3 games, he’d be set to return on Oct. 15 against the Buffalo Bills.
