Giants running back Saquon Barkley can’t seem to escape injury trouble.

He left the game against the Cowboys on Sunday with an ankle injury after he rolled it on a Cowboys defensive player.

This isn’t a development that the Giants or their fans want to see as he’s their best player on offense. Coming into this game, Barkley had 3 straight games of 50 or more yards rushing as it seemed like he was starting to hit his stride.

Furthermore, in his last 2 games against the Saints and Falcons, Barkley had 2 rushing touchdowns and 103 combined rushing yards.

He’s coming off a lost 2020 season after he tore his ACL early in the year. New York is hoping that he’ll get back to where he was in 2018 and 2019 when he rushed for over 1,000 yards and added 19 combined rushing touchdowns.

Currently, New York and Dallas are tied 10-10 late in the first half on FOX.
