Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has picked up from where he left off at the Rose Bowl.

Barkley has been electrifying plays left and right through the first quarter of the season, amassing 548 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns. That type of play has helped Barkley earn some well deserved Heisman buzz.

On Thursday, Fox college football analyst Matt Leinart listed Barkley as his No. 3 Heisman hopeful.

To round out Leinart was Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield at No. 1, Oklahoma State signal caller Mason Rudolph at No. 2, USC gunslinger Sam Darnold at No. 4 and Oregon running back Royce Freeman at No. 5.

Barkley and Penn State will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
