Saquon Barkley has been named a finalist for multiple prestigious awards as we head into the final weekend of the college football season.

On Monday, the Penn State running back was named a finalist for the Maxwell Award — awarded to college football’s player of the year — as well as the Doak Walker Award, presented to the best running back in the sport. He’s also been named a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award.

Joining Barkley as finalists for the Maxwell Award are Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and Stanford running back Bryce Love. The other two finalists for the Doak Walker Award are Love and Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor.

Barkley has totaled 2,070 all-purpose yards this season, enough to lead the B1G. He’s racked up 1,057 yards on the ground, which ranks third in the conference. He’s also accounted for 20 touchdowns this season.

Winners for the Maxwell and Walker Award will be recognized on Dec. 7, 2017.
