Saquon Barkley named finalist Paul Hornung Award

Saquon Barkley has been tabbed a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award.
On Thursday morning, Barkley was one of four college football players named a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award, presented to the most versatile player in the sport. He was the only player from the B1G to make the final four.

The three other finalists for the award are Dante Pettis (Washington), Joel Lanning (Iowa State) and Nyheim Hines (N.C. State). The SEC was the only Power Five Conference not represented.
Barkley has accounted for 1,761 all-purpose yards and 15 total touchdowns this season. As a rusher, the Penn State running back has racked up 864 yards and nine touchdowns for the year. He’s also tallied 504 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver.
Despite Penn State’s back-to-back losses, Barkley is still considered one of the top candidates for the Heisman Trophy.
The Paul Hornung Award winner will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017.
