After an incredible first season in the NFL, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has been named the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year. The announcement was made on Saturday.
Earlier in the week, Barkley was also named the Pepsi Rookie of the Year, an award voted on by the public.
Barkley ended his rookie campaign with 1,307 rushing yards and 2,028 yards from scrimmage. He was the first rookie running back in Giants history to rush for over 1,000 yards and became just the third player in NFL history to amass more than 2,000 total yards as a rookie.
