Saquon Barkley punctuates monster first half with 68-yard TD vs. Commanders
Saquon Barkley is continuing his monster NFL campaign on Sunday, all while starting quarterback Jalen Hurts is sidelined with an injury.
Hurts left Sunday’s game vs. the Washington Commanders with an early head injury and will not return. Fortunately, that has not slowed down Saquon Barkley.
The Philadelphia Eagles have not even reached halftime in that game yet, and Barkley has already eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark yet again. It is already the 10th game of the season with at least 100 yards rushing for Barkley and his 5th game in the last 6 to reach the century mark.
The biggest play of the game (so far) came toward the end of the 1st quarter. On 2nd-and-9, Barkley took a simple handoff off the left side, but the end result was not simple.
While Barkley did sprinkle in a couple of nice hesitation moves, the heavy work on this play was done by his blocking. The lane was so clean after Barkley allowed his blockers to set up that he rolled 68 yards for the score without being touched.
SAQUON BARKLEY IS GONE. 68-YARD TD.

Barkley is having a career year, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down any time soon. And that includes Sunday with some time left before halftime to try and add on further.
