Saquon Barkley has been dealing with a neck injury and was limited in practice this Thursday. Barkley has also been dealing with a shoulder injury off-and-on since Week 7.

In 12 games this season, Barkley has 282 attempts for 1296 yards and 8 touchdowns. The New York Giants have been dealing with injuries all season, mostly on defense, and have been one of the most limited teams in terms of personnel.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport discussed how Barkley is doing on ‘Good Morning Football’.

“Popped up on the injury report yesterday, was limited because of a neck injury,” said Rapoport. “No more details yet, should get more today. Good sign for Barkley was that he talked to reporters after practice, did not seem like anything was wrong.”

After several injury-riddled years, 2022 has been a healthy season for Barkley.

Thursday’s report has some concerned due to the nature of neck injuries. Neck issues are some of the most dangerous to deal with and can have life-changing effects if not handled appropriately.

It’s unknown if the injury occurred this week in practice or this has happened in game. This year Barkley has been a critical piece of New York’s offense and at several times has helped lead the Giants to victory.
