Sean Clifford has bounced back from an early interception to get Penn State a touchdown in the White Out matchup with Minnesota. This time, he found tight end Tyler Warren wide open down the middle of the field against the Gopher defense.

It looked like a great play design by Penn State but also featured some busted coverage from Minnesota. As a result, the safety vacated the middle of the field and the linebacker was unable to get back in coverage.

Clifford hit Warren on the money for a 38-yard score to give Penn State the first TD of the night and a 10-3 lead in the second quarter.

Before Penn State’s touchdown drive, the game had mostly been a defensive and special teams affair between the two sides. We’ll see if Penn State has more big plays in store down the road.
