Penn State QB Sean Clifford is off to a flawless start on Saturday against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

Clifford shined on Saturday, putting together a near-perfect performance, going 5-for-5, 62 yards, and 2 TDs to open the game.

The Lions were able to capitalize on an interception, and Clifford found Brenton Strange for a 4-yard touchdown for his second touchdown of the first quarter.

Clifford is on a roll after a rocky start in Week 1 that saw the QB throw a pick-six in the fourth quarter, only to have to mount an exceptional comeback in the last minutes to barely sneak past Purdue, 35-31. The QB battled back with a stellar start in Week 2, going 6-for-6 to 6 different receivers, with a 4th-down conversion and 62 yards in the opening drive.

Clifford didn’t stop there, rushing up the middle to put the Nittany Lions on top, 7-3 against Auburn in Week 3.

Clifford’s work has been impressive, but the Chippewas have since battled back to tie the game at 14-all. We’ll see if Clifford can keep things rolling for the afternoon.
