The Penn State-Central Michigan game is a lot closer than fans might want it to be. Penn State is only leading Central Michigan at half.

If not for the turnovers by the Chippewas, the game would be a lot closer. Central Michigan was actually tied with Penn State 14-14 in the second quarter at one point. This is not a good sign for the Nittany Lions, who are playing their final non-conference game of the season. Only B1G teams will remain in their way after this.

Nick Singleton has not been able to get off to the start he had last game against Auburn. Sean Clifford has not had a bad performance either going 15-for-25 with 153 yards passing and 2 touchdowns, but the team is struggling to distance themselves from the Chippewas.

If the Nittany Lions are struggling against the Chippewas, they may have problems against Northwestern in Week 5 also.

The second half of Penn State-Central Michigan is being broadcasted on BTN.
