Son of Penn State assistant coach commits to Nittany Lions as walk-on
The son of a Penn State assistant coach has committed to play for the Nittany Lions as a preferred walk-on.
On Tuesday night, Jaden Seider — son of Penn State running backs coach JaJuan Seider — gave his commitment to James Franklin and the Nittany Lions. He provided a short message on Twitter to make his announcement.
“Home for the next four years. #WeAre,” Seider wrote.
Seider will be a preferred walk-on in State College.

Seider is listed as dual-threat quarterback on 247Sports. Though he didn’t receive any offers from the FBS level, Miami (FL), FAU, Oregon State and Marshall were all in the picture.
JaJuan Seider joined the Penn State staff in January 2018. Prior to arriving in Happy Valley, he was the running backs coach at Florida from 2013-2016 and previously held the same position at West Virginia.
Penn State’s 2019 recruiting class ranks 14th nationally and third in the B1G.
