Trace McSorley and Grant Haley will be back at Penn State this weekend. Head coach James Franklin announced Tuesday that the duo and former Nittany Lion teammates will serve as honorary captains for the White Out.

On Wednesday, Penn State released a video with a special message from McSorley and Haley to the fans ahead of the weekend.

“Looking forward to being back here, super honored to be an honorary captain for the White against Iowa this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone back in the stadium,” said McSorley.

“Can’t wait to see you guys, we need you guys there early. Show up, be loud, let’s get chaotic,” Haley encouraged.

McSorley played for Penn State from 2015-18 in a highly decorated career as a quarterback. Haley played for the Nittany Lions from 2014-17 as an impressive cornerback.

When it was all said and done, McSorley departed as the program’s all-time leading passer with 9,899 yards and 77 touchdowns. Sean Clifford has since broken those passing records, but McSorley also delivered 1,697 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns as a true program legend.

In 4 years as a contributor, Haley posted 139 tackles, 5 interceptions and 22 pass breakups. It will certainly be a great Saturday with the two back in Beaver Stadium.
