Trace McSorley lands with new NFL team after getting signed from Baltimore Ravens practice squad
Former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley is getting a new outlook in his NFL career.
McSorley is signing with the Arizona Cardinals after spending some time on the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens. He has been with Baltimore since being drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft in the sixth round (197th overall pick).
McSorley announced the move on Twitter while thanking the Ravens for his time in Baltimore:
That being said I couldn’t be more excited for this new opportunity with the @AZCardinals. Ready to get to work and keep this train moving forward. LETS GO!! #RedSea

Arizona’s starting quarterback Kyler Murray has not played since the 24-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 28. Murray suffered an ankle injury and is still unknown when he will come back. Colt McCoy suffered a pectoral injury in the 23-13 win at the Seattle Seahawks.
With concerns at the quarterback position even going into the bye-week, Arizona took a chance on McSorley. Arizona is currently on a bye-week.
McSorley has appeared in three games for Baltimore since 2019. McSorley passed for 3-of-10 completions for 90 yards and a touchdown in two games last season.
