Trading touchdowns: Both Penn State and Illinois are scoring at will early
This Penn State-Illinois game has been total chaos so far and it still hasn’t made it to halftime.
AfterIllinois answered Penn State’s opening play touchdown, Lamont Wade had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to put the Nittany Lions up 14-7.

Wade wasn’t touched at all on that run block as he just darted through the kickoff team like it was nothing.
Right after that play, Illinois responded again to make it 14-14. They drove right down the field and the drive ended with a 12-yard rushing touchdown from Chase Brown.

The scoring still didn’t stop there as Illinois took their first lead of the game, 21-14. Quarterback Isaiah Williams threw his second touchdown pass of the day, this one to tight end Daniel Barker.
