James Franklin got to ask some questions for once at Penn State’s weekly press conference. They were all Thanksgiving themed.

Franklin weighed in on many Thanksgiving debates that fans around the country discuss every year. Turkey or ham, Macaroni or mashed potatoes, and sweet potato pie or pumpkin pie were all debated by Franklin.

Franklin even said that he would like to try the sweet potato pie of one reporter’s family to settle the debate.

“I would be very appreciative and thankful if I could try your family’s sweet potato pie,” said Franklin.

Surely Penn State fans will be very thankful and appreciative if the Nittany Lions can avenge last season’s 30-27 loss to Michigan State on Saturday. While Penn State is out of the B1G title game at this point, there’s still plenty to be thankful for.

Michigan State (5-6) and Penn State (9-2) battle for the Land-Grant Trophy at 4 p.m. ET on FS1 this weekend.
