Tyler Warren delivers latest record in B1G Championship Game vs. Oregon
Tyler Warren has been the best tight end in college football this year. He is a huge reason why Penn State is in the B1G Championship Game, and why the Nittany Lions will also be in the College Football Playoff bracket on Sunday.
During the first half of the game against Oregon, he set a B1G record for receiving yards by a tight end. He entered the game with 978 yards, but his 7-yard catch in the first quarter broke the previous B1G record of 982 yards held by former Wisconsin tight end Travis Beckum.

Warren has set numerous records throughout the season, as he also broke Beckum’s single-season record of 72 catches earlier in the season. During a game against USC this season, Warren had 17 catches for 224 yards, which tied an FBS record for most ever by a tight end in a single game.
Not only has Warren been great at catching passes this year, but James Franklin uses him in many different ways. He has rushed the ball 21 times this year, gaining 189 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns.
After 67 receiving yards in the first half vs. Oregon, Warren is now over 1,000 receiving yards for the season. Regardless of how the B1G Championship winds up, college football fans are going to get to see the record-breaking tight end in the CFP.
