WATCH: After sustaining leg injury, Trace McSorley rips off 51-yard TD run
All the kid does is win.
That’s usually the kind of statement James Franklin makes about Trace McSorley. And it couldn’t have been more true on Saturday afternoon.
In the first half of Penn State’s matchup against Iowa, McSorley suffered an injury to his leg, forcing him to leave the game early and trot off to the locker room before the half expired. The senior decided to give it a go in the second half, though.
You’d hardly know he suffered an injury just a few minutes earlier.
McSorley ripped off a 51-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter to give Penn State a 24-17 lead.
We're no doctors, but sure looks like @McSorley_IX's leg is OK.@PennStateFball takes the lead early in the second half. pic.twitter.com/N6Hq5ofpIW

McSorley has been an incredible threat for Penn State on the ground all season. Entering Saturday’s game against the Hawkeyes, the senior quarterback had 554 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
That touchdown gave the Lions their first lead of the game.
Regardless of whether you think McSorley is one of the best passers in the B1G or not, you really can’t question the kid’s toughness.
