Just like that, Penn State is up in the 100th meeting with in-state rival Pittsburgh.

After punting on their first possession, the Nittany Lions were pinned deep to start their second drive. They were also forced into a long third-and-9 with the threat of having to punt from the end zone. Fortunately, Journey Brown took care of that.

Brown took a handoff and fought through traffic before finding the open field. He finally burst into the open down the sideline, nearly breaking the run for a touchdown.

Brown was eventually brought down after an 85-yard gain deep into Pittsburgh territory. Penn State would cap that drive off with the game’s first touchdown on a short run from Devyn Ford.
