Do not sleep on Sean Clifford’s speed!

The quarterback is taking over for Trace McSorley with the Penn State offense, a player who knew a thing or two about using his legs to make plays outside of the pocket. After this play, it’s safe to say Clifford is not scared to use his legs as well.

He ran a little read option in the backfield before keeping the ball around the left side. Clifford’s blocking set up a wall to the outside, and he followed it perfectly. After bouncing outside, Clifford found another gear and nearly outran everyone to the end zone.

Unfortunately, he was grabbed by the shoestrings and brought down inside the five-yard line. But the Nittany Lions did finish off the drive with a score.
