WATCH: Top-10 dual-threat QB announces commitment to Penn State
Michale Johnson Jr. lives in Pac-12 country, but if he plays in the Rose Bowl, he’ll be on the other side.
Johnson, a 4-star quarterback out of Eugene, Ore. announced Wednesday that he has committed to Penn State. The big decision was unveiled in a video Johnson posted to his Twitter account.
Measuring 6-3, 192 pounds, Johnson is rated the No. 1 recruit out of Oregon, the No. 6 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 259 recruit overall on the 247 Sports Composite. Johnson has 28 scholarship offers at this time. Before committing to PSU, he narrowed the offers down to a final five which included Florida State, Miami, N.C. State and Oregon State.
With Johnson on board, Penn State’s class is now at No. 15 nationally and No. 3 in the Big Ten in the Composite rankings.
