No. 20 Penn State hosted Wisconsin on Saturday and the Nittany Lions were able to pick up their fourth home win of the season thanks to a 22-10 final score.
Outside of Badgers RB Jonathan Taylor and his 185 yards and 1 TD, Wisconsin’s offense was extremely limited. Jack Coan, who was in at QB due to an injury for typical starter Alex Hornibrook, completed 9-of-20 passes for 60 yards and 2 INT.
Penn State’s defense was dominant whenever Wisconsin tried to pass. Offensively, the Nittany Lions had Trace McSorley throw for 160 yards and 1 TD, while RB Miles Sanders gained 159 yards and 1 TD on the ground.
During the game, Sanders broke the 1,000-yard mark this season, making it the 26th time that’s been accomplished in program history.
After the 12-point win, Penn State coach James Franklin spoke with the media:
Franklin starts by thanking the fans, says the team won all the areas it talks about weekly.
