As Penn State prepares to play its third game of the 2020 season, hosting Maryland this Saturday in Beaver Stadium, coach James Franklin met with the media Tuesday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions enter the game with Maryland with a five-game win streak in this series, coming off dominant performances in their most recent meetings.

But Franklin and the Nittany Lions will need to shake off a pair of tough losses that opened their season, and deal with a Maryland team coming off a big win. Handling Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who is coming off a strong showing during the Terps upset over Minnesota last weekend will be a tall order.

“We got a hot quarterback coming in here now. Whenever you got a hot quarterback you got a chance,” Franklin said of Tagovailoa.
