White Out attendance vs. Michigan one of the largest in Beaver Stadium history
James Franklin wanted a large, rocking crowd in Happy Valley for Saturday night’s White Out game against Michigan. He got what he asked for.
Midway through Saturday night’s top 25 showdown between Michigan and Penn State, the school tweeted out that the game’s attendance at Beaver Stadium was 110,669. That would be the fourth-largest crowd in the venue’s history.
It sure made for an exciting, outstanding atmosphere in State College.

The White Out games are usually the most anticipated games on the schedule in Happy Valley. Many describe the environment as the best in college football.
Usually, Penn State designates the White Out games for home games against Michigan or Ohio State. Since PSU hosts those schools in alternating years, it works out pretty well.
