Wrong guy: What was Penn State RB Devyn Ford thinking on Maryland's scoop and score
It’s been a rough game in many areas for Penn State against Maryland but it also got pretty odd on this 3rd quarter play. After Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford fumbled the ball, running back Devyn Ford appears to think a different Maryland player has the ball on the return:

Ford went for the wrong player and Maryland ended up extending their lead to 35-7 over the Nittany Lions.
That play definitely won’t be on Ford’s career highlight reel after he’s done at Penn State, that’s for sure.
The game is currently being aired on the Big Ten Network with the 4th quarter just beginning.
