What was once a rivalry game has now become a completely one-sided affair. The Ohio State-Michigan series has often been considered the best rivalry in all of sports, but the Buckeyes continue to dominate the series, providing very little interest to those across the country.

It was more of the same on Saturday, as Ohio State pounded Michigan in Ann Arbor in a 56-27 decision. The Buckeyes rounded out their perfect season and got their eighth-straight win in the rivalry season. They’ve also won 15 of the last 16.

After another lopsided loss, former Michigan great and college football analyst Charles Woodson had some discouraging words. But he brought up some points that a lot of Wolverine fans are starting to believe.

“We’re not holding up our end of the bargain,” Woodson said after the game. “I’m exhausted. I’ll be honest with you, I’m exhausted. Because I put a lot of emotion into it as a fan and as a former players. To watch what happened today — we played a better team. Make no mistake about it, give them credit for the way they came out here and handled business. To me, it just seems like this game…it’s evident [for] that team (Ohio State) that it’s a way of life. I don’t know how we get back to it, but we gotta get back to it.”

Michigan has lost by double figures in five of the last six meetings and Jim Harbaugh is now 0-5 against his arch rival. He’s the first head coach in Ann Arbor to suffer that fate.

Some of Harbaugh’s better teams (2016, 2018, 2019) haven’t been able to crack the Buckeyes. So, the question remains, will he ever be able to beat Ohio State? We’ll have to wait at least another year to find out.
