Aidan O'Connell weighing options on potential return to Purdue
Purdue finished off its season with a beatdown of rival Indiana 44-7 on Saturday, and the Boilers will be taking the Old Oaken Bucket back from the Hoosiers.
Senior QB Aidan O’Connell is a big reason Purdue has finished with one of its best records in years, as they are 8-4 and 6-3 in B1G play.
He is a 5th year senior but has the option to come back next season. O’Connell spoke to the media postgame about his future with the Boilermakers.

O’Connell has a decision to make either come back for a 6th year or test the waters of the NFL. It will depend on what the scouts believe O’Connell’s skill sets are.
This season, for the Boilermakers, O’Connell was 289-0f-393 yards passing for a 73.5% completion rate, throwing for 3,178 yards, 19 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
Once the bowl season concludes, or potentially even before then, the Purdue faithful will know if O’Connell decides to don the Black and Gold once more or go to the strip and test the waters of the NFL at the draft in Las Vegas NV., this April.
